Holy moly.

If you know the Printerverse well, you know that I am OBSESSED with my 2012 album Goodbyenary Code.

Well, it just so happens that the only Basic Printer vinyl that has ever existed just so happens to be Goodbyenary Code. 

This has a BEAUTIFUL pressing of that sentimental-ass front cover, and has an insert with the tracklisting and some more art. It's really a beautiful piece. I'm hesitating giving it up, but I think someone out there would die to have this.

An ex made this for me as a birthday present. What was interesting was that she was on my email list and didn't miss a single email. She had a 100% open rate for years after we dated. I thought this was really interesting.

Inexplicably out of nowhere a couple weeks back, she unsubscribed. I think it's a sign to get rid of this thing.

Specifications:

This is a lathe-cut vinyl. What that means is that instead of having an etched gold or silver platter that presses into wax to create a vinyl copy, the flat, blank record ITSELF is etched into.

Lathe cuts typically do NOT sound good, and this is no exception - it's barely listenable.

And not only that - the tracklisting was cut unevenly given song lengths, so side B's grooves run so close to each other that as you get into the final song, the needle just gets so lost in the grooves that it slides it way back to the top of the song over and over again (at least that's what happened when I tried).

Basically, I would say don't even TRY to play this thing and ruin your needle. But I assure you, Goodbyenary Code is indeed technically on this thing.
